Naha Bay, AK

We missed making blog posts from the beginning of our trip to Alaska so we'll post them over the next week or so, even though they're out of sequence.
Naha Bay was a lovely spot that we stayed in after leaving Ketchikan.

The boat that is tied next to ours is owned by a couple who cruise with their dog, Lilly.
Their boat is called EmBark.

The US Forest Service maintains the trail that leads from the dock to Roosevelt Lagoon.

Roosevelt Lagoon is tidal and you can see the rapids that leave the lagoon on an ebb tide. Our cruising guide book states that the rapids can be transited in a dinghy at high water (tide) slack.
Here is a video of tidal rapids at Fish Egg Inlet

The forest was lush, green and exquisitely decorated with Flowering Dogwood everywhere.
Such a contrast from our home in the Chilcotin.
